Yes! Electric heaters use infrared heat which travels in a straight line from the source allowing the heat to be efficiently aimed at target objects without heating the air in between. Think of it in the same way you would feel the warmth from the sun on a hot  summer’s day.

With energy costs hot topic for everyone, not surprisingly consumers are increasingly interested in how much appliances cost to run. Electric heaters are an excellent alternative to other outdoor heating solutions with a much lower cost to run per hour. Our electric heating range offers something to suit every taste and budget, with a variety of specifications to choose from. There are three types of heat elements we offer: quartz, carbon fibre, and halogen.

It can be confusing to understand the differences between the various element types, so we’ve put together a handy guide to help, which is available on the trade portal.

Most patio heaters use either gas or electricity to generate heat. Electric heaters are safer since there are no naked flames present, and there is no need to store gas canisters. Electric heaters also waste energy and produce unnecessary CO2 emissions by heating the air around them. The warm air from gas heaters can be directed away from its target area by airflow and can be affected by weather conditions.

Electric heaters must be stored in a clean, dry environment free from moisture and above 0°C. They must not be left outdoors overnight or when not in use. All models within the La Hacienda electric heating range have been Ingress Protection (IP) rated and certified. To understand more about the IP rating system, download the Electric Heating Guide available on our trade portal.
